1. Getting StealthText. Send an SMS text message to the '80880' with the word 'stealth' written as the message (please see cost of service in step 3). You will receive a message inviting you to 'Click for StealthText service'
2. Locate your phone's StealthMode function. Shortly thereafter, you should receive a StealthText Service order, click to open the link that will lead you to install your StealthMode functionality in your phone. StealthText will appear every time in the same "undisclosed" location you have chosen to bookmark, creating your parallel messaging service. StealthText doesn't interfere with your regular messaging service, as it is located in a different place in your phone.
3. Confidential top up. Before composing your first StealthText, you will make the choice of purchasing a new bundle of StealthTexts. StealthText will intelligently manage your credit and inform you when you run out of credit and when you must buy more bundles. That way, you can monitor your spending. You can also opt out of the service at any time. The billing system of StealthText is secure and anonymous, and only the charges for the service will appear on your phone bill (listed 80880) as an item on your regular contract with your network provider. The only costs incurred are £.50 per StealthText, plus your regular service charge for using your network. No extra costs.
4. Compliance rules. By accepting the terms and conditions, you understand that you must be 18 years or older to use this service, in compliance with the Law and StealthMobile rules and regulations.
5. Signing up. When signing up, you will be invited to choose your StealthName and pincode. This is the nickname you will use every time you want to use StealthText and the nickname all different StealthTexts recipients will know you by on that particular phone. Your complete StealthID will be required every time you will use your StealthText service.
6. Proceed. Your registration was successful, and a notification that credit has been added to your private StealthText Account will follow. Click the link at the bottom of the page 'Proceed'
7. Address Book. All your StealthText mates will be notified when receiving your StealthTexts by reading your nickname on their handset. You will have the option of keeping their names secured in a specially designed address book, which will have no relationship with your regular messaging service.
8. A tip from the pros. Bookmark your StealthText's undisclosed location, for use in the future. Your phone will probably ask you to do that, but in case it doesn't, click on the menu and bookmark this location.
9. Compose StealthText. Now you can log-in, choose "Send Message" or "Send to a friend". This allows you to invite your StealthText mates to receive their own StealthText service, or simply tell your friends about this exciting way to self-destruct text messages. You will not be charged a StealthText for that message.
10. Select "Compose Message", and you will be taken to your StealthText screen.
11. Send StealthText. If this is the first time you have sent a message, go to the 'Nickname' field and choose a name for the person you want to send a message to. It can be any name, the only person who will see this is you. Now select the 'Number' field and enter the mobile number of the person you want to send a StealthText message to. Now select the 'Message' field and write your message here. It can be as long as you want. When you have finished your message click 'Proceed'.You will receive a message confirming that your StealthText has been sent. You will now have the option of continuing to a new page and sending another message, sending information about StealthText to a friend or you may exit the browser and the service.
12. Receive StealthText. Your message will arrive as a message saying 'you (Nickname chosen when you registered for the service) have sent a StealthText. Click now to read it ' There is no other identification attached to this message and it is impossible for someone to discover the sender's identity. The time and date that the message was sent will also be attached.
13. Barring StealthText.
The message will appear exactly as written by the sender with no other information
attached like the sender's nickname or mobile number. The recipient is offered
the choice of replying to the sender (which will require StealthText registration
by the recipient), barring any further messages from the sender, barring all
future messages from StealthText.
14. Self-destructing StealthText. Each StealthText is pre-formatted to "lock
& expire" (self-destruct) in the recipient handset. As soon as the
recipient ends the reading session, the message self-destructs. Your StealthText
mate can still see that a link was received, but the access is now locked.
The page will simply indicate that it has expired and does not exist.
